About Book: “If Lee Childs’ Jack Reacher or Clive Cussler’s Dirk Pitt tackled a terrorist scheme that utilized subliminal messaging to sow global social and economic chaos, it would look a lot like Red Line.” Baltimore Police Detective Mitch Wilson wants a nice day out with his wife and son. Instead, they are all caught up in a catastrophic terrorist attack that has repercussions across the USA and triggers events that could alter the course of civilization.Having lost everything, Mitch sets out to seek justice – and revenge and stumbles upon a global conspiracy. On the other side of the world, renowned linguistic professor, Yasaman Karami, flees her native Iran for the freedom of the west; she holds one of the keys to defeating the terrorist organization.Yasaman and Mitch’s worlds collide as, alongside federal agents and allies, they race against the clock to hunt down the terrorist masterminds and prevent worldwide catastrophe.

My Thoughts: The book started with action, and you are immediately hooked, wondering with excitement where the story was going to take you. Right from the beginning there are twists and turns that kept me enthralled. The chapters move between different places and people, seemingly unconnected, but holding the suspense as it moves.

Rudman’s description of the places and people is vivid and brings the story to life as it unfolds, and the depth of the main characters add to the stories authenticity.

Some of the hard-hitting action scenes confused me, but it didn’t detract from the story, in fact I actually, could visualise more in depth the chaos happening.

Red Line by Blake Rudman has so many twists and turns, I didn’t know who to believe. But you become invested in the truth, and Rudman’s writing is testament to keeping your interest piqued. At times I thought ‘this cannot be true,’ but in the next sentence you realise something else is going on.

My favourite character was Agent Noreen Wells, she is a strong foreboding character, comfortable in her own skin and a very capable and driven person.

In conclusion, Red Line is a fast paced, action-packed book that will keep your mind guessing to the very end. The characters are very well thought out and developed and the book has a deeply intricate plot. I can’t wait to see what comes next. A must for fans of action-packed thrillers.
