Welcome to my book club blog. I’m Alis and I don’t go anywhere without a book. I love to read and want to share my passion with others.
You’ll find recommendations on what to read next as well as my thoughts and opinions on the books that I have read. I encourage you to tell me what you thought about the books so we can gain insights from each other. My book club is open to all, and I welcome new members who are passionate about reading and eager to explore new literary worlds.
As we embark on this literary journey together, I want to emphasise that my book club is a safe and inclusive space for all. I value diverse perspectives and experiences and believe books have the power to bring people together, spark empathy and understanding and inspire change.
What makes a good book - I love a good book quote from a stunning first sentence that just grabs you from the beginning or to certain parts of books that are truly memorable. And whether they make you laugh or cry they do have a habit of sticking with us long after we close the book after we have read the final page.
